Why is it common for hispanic people to wear shoes in the house?

I'm Mexican and most hispanic people I know wear shoes and socks in the house. I see this mainly with males and kids. I know other races of people do too, but it seem a little more common with hispanics.

Your question about why a race of people act in a certain way is really offensive. I grew up in a predominately Mexican neighborhood, and the kids I knew went barefoot just as often as I did (I'm white). I leaned that people have no inbred ways of dressing, walking, talking, etc. It is mostly the way the way they were taught. I learned how to eat with tortillas instead of a fork. My Mexican friends had to learn that too. My friends learned how to eat bagels %26amp; lox (I'm not Jewish). I had to learn that too. Actions and customs are not determined by race, they are taught.
Reply:well I'm not Mexican and I all ways wear shoes in the house - I do have a pair of house shoe that I wear -I'm from the North and move to the south and I think that it's a southern thing - and mostly a woman thing - god I hate it to -
Reply:I'm American and never met anybody who didn't wear shoes in the house.
