Track shoes...?
Track spikes are supposed to be pretty snug and form fitting to your feet. Since there isn't too much support, the snugness helps keep your feet straight. I wear 7.5 in running shoes, but my track spikes are size 37 european, which is around 5 to 5.5 in american size, and it fits really well. To ensure best fit, try them on! If you aren't sure or can't try them on, get your normal shoe size. Since you won't be walking around all day in them (used for just a race or two) a slightly off size won't hurt too badly.
Reply:The shoes should be snug.

I always wore my size and never had any problems

of being loose or coming off. I also wore very thin socks.
