Please answer?

What is a good running shoe for a cross country race, not training. racing. What about there not like spikes but there not regular training shoes?

Please answer?
Sounds like you are asking for either a road racing "flat" or an indoor track non-spike.

I'd recommend the Nike Women's Jana Star XC II Cross-Country Running Shoe, rubber soled. It actually gives you the best of both worlds - spike and non-spike. If you are on mostly grass, go to the 1/4" spikes. If it's a very hard surface, take out the spikes and screw in the "plugs" that come with it.
Reply:ur talking about xc flats. nike are very good. also the saucony kilkenny, which is what i race in, is excellent. nike and the kilenny run about $40 and last about 3 xc seasons.
Reply:I think your referring to flats, they're light but give you support. To find them you would probably have to go to a running store...b/c many sporting good stores dont carry them.
Reply:what you're looking for is a "racing flat" its about 1/3 the weight of a normal shoe and they're really nice actually, any specialty store should have them
