Is Hillary completely out of the race now?

Does that make McCain a shoe in? Obama is just a dingaling with no experience , is anti-American and who is racist.

Is Hillary completely out of the race now?
I wish Hillary would start winning something soon, there's just something foul about Obama I do not like
Reply:Hillary is done.

She has no mathematical hope of victory, and the DNC will NEVER chastize the black voters by taking the nomination from homie the clown.

Obama will be eaten alive in the General debates. If he thinks he can pull that "negative campaign" crap on McCain like he did with Chillery, he's mistaken. He'll simply show himself as the INEXPERIENCED JERK he is.
Reply:Hillary isn't out of the race, and I wouldn't count her out just yet either...

The republican attack machine has come out to play... it seems they've stepped it up over just the last couple days. Obama, he'll be lucky if can hold up until August...he is so not prepared.

The Obama bots are going to find out pretty soon, that they are greatly outnumbered all of a sudden. Most of them are in for quite a shock.
Reply:N O !!! The Super Delegates HAVE NOT and WILL NOT make their decisions until the END of JUNE ... per the DNC Chairman, Howard Dean!!!

OBAMA wants to END WORLD POVERTY on YOUR NICKEL AND SURRENDER THE United States to THE United Nations.

Would a CONTINUAL 20 years of "second hand smoke" have a negative affect on the other people in the area ??

Would a CONTINUAL 20 years of "Anti-American Preachings" have a negative affect on the other people in the area ??

John F. Kennedy, a Democrat, was sworn in as the 35th President of THE United States of America, at noon on January 20, 1961. In his inaugural address he spoke of the NEED for ALL Americans to be ACTIVE CITIZENS, famously saying, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."

Please NOTICE that it said DEMOCRAT - NOT Socialist and / or Communist Democrat !!

It means this country is only as strong as the people in it. It means get off your a$$ and do something!!!

Reply:Obama is now being referred to as the "presumptive nominee" so she's probably done.

McCain is not a shoe in, lets not forget that the Republican party isn't exactly in tip top shape either.

Republicans have their Ron Paul supporters trying to divide their party
Reply:Do you see Obama with all the delegates and votes yet? No...

more and more of his lies are coming to the surface, by the time he get's to McCain the whole country wont trust him.

Him next to McCain, trying to prove his points will be the downfall of the dem party... McCain will make him look like an unAmerican clown.
Reply:As far as I am concerned, YES!

She was asked by many political figures to step down, and let the general election begin, but she is acting out her two year old tantrum for the whole wide world to see!!! She is actually hurting her campaign by doing this...it is a disaster, and her campaign supporters knows this.

I agree with the second part of your question, it's funny, but, yes, I agree! ;-)
Reply:Anything is possible: Abraham Lincoln walked into the national convention with virtually no votes and walked out being the nominee for the presidential race(which he won)!!!
Reply:No you are confused. Hillary has a dingaling, Obama has more legislative experience than Hillary and McCain is American.
Reply:Not totally, but even if she was, she would already be campaigning for the 2012 election.
Reply:she's done. the fat lady has sung. i just hope McCain doesn't get in there. he's a bush clone.
Reply:No. The election isn't over yet.
Reply:No, just completely out of her mind.
Reply:Not yet... I'm waiting, so I can cast my vote to McCain like the other 50%...

So Republican it is again...

But I rather see McCain win than Obama!

OMG!!!!
Reply:I agree completely!

What would be a good shoe for running 200m and 400m?

I prefer to run in adidas because there comfortable and I'm winning races with them

What would be a good shoe for running 200m and 400m?
It's all personal preference, try a few different ones. I take 3 pairs for every meet. One pair for the 110H, one for the 400H and one for the relays. All happen to be Nike but I used to wear Adidas too.
Reply:Get sprinting spikes for the 200 and 400.

Brand doesn't matter, it's not like different brands of shoes can be so different that they will add or subtract time from your race. It's just a personal preference of style.

Now that McCain is a shoe-in for winning the White House in January...?

Would any of you libs or Dems care to practice your false excuses why your going to lose?

Disenfranchisement... Race baiting...McCain derangement syndrome.. hanging chads...The vast right-wing Conspiracy...Rush Limbaugh and that damned operation chaos!.... LOL!

Come on guys... practice with me!

I feel your pain....I really do!

Im a Compassionate Conservative!

Anyone else think we are going to hear an avalanche of vitriol and whining in January when ole Johnny boy is sworn in?

Now that McCain is a shoe-in for winning the White House in January...?
I, for one, can' t wait to hear all their lame excuses. It is already starting in fact. The lame name-calling (McSame), etc.

Reply:A shoe-in, lol. I don't think so. You underestimate the power of a really F'ed up economy as it has moved to the top of the list as the #1 concern in this country. I am extremely confident that a Democrat will be in the White come January, no need for excuses.
Reply:The American people won't let another Republican within miles of the White House after how badly Bush and Contbelieveya have #%%26amp;@ed up everything.

For those who watched the race yesterday?

i have no problem with jimmi johnson cause i pull 4 hendrick but i have to admit did anyone notice the typical jimmi day at talladega? seems every time HE causes the biggest wreck and still manages to yank that horse shoe out his a** and finish good

For those who watched the race yesterday?
I pull for henricks too.Well i did when terry and company was around anyway.Gordon and terry built henricks motorsports, and jimmie %26amp; kyle just ride Gordon's cape.Jimmie is not only lucky to get out of wrecks he starts, but no one seems to make a big deal about it.Jimmie owes Gordon everything, but on race day he leaves Gordon out to dry most of the time!
Reply:I'm not a Jimmie Johnson fan AT ALL, but to be fair, he didn't cause the wreck yesterday. The 96 ran him into the 88.
Reply:Typical Johnson.Has an excuse for everything that happened and who really did it.
Reply:I'm a Huge Gordon fan, and I root for the other Hendricks team members. But it was definetely a typical day for the #48 team. He's usually blamed for at least a couple wrecks and Darrell is usually the first to say it even before the replay is shown. I don't think he was the cause of either one, Casey's spotter or crew chief should have communicated to Jimmie they was pitting, and the other one he was close to wasn't his fault, the car below him came up into him.... Jimmie wasn't too lucky last year with Vickers took him out on the last lap.
Reply:He didn't cause the wreck yesterday more on............What race were you watching.....
Reply:Exactly. cause gordon took him under his wing.

If the shoe was on the other foot would Sen. Clinton's democratic backers be hollering for Sen. Obama to get

out? I mean this is a close and eciting race and like they want her to 'thrown in the towel when the score is like in the 3rd quarter and it's 21-17, your take and thanks.

If the shoe was on the other foot would Sen. Clinton's democratic backers be hollering for Sen. Obama to get
Of course they would!!!!!!

Reply:Yes, they would tell Obama to evacuate his dream of becoming president if he had lost the 12 contests in a row, but he didn't.

GOBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Heck yes! If Obama lost 12 straight primaries in a row, they would have demanded he drop our weeks ago!!
Reply:I agree with you. If the situation were reversed Obama would be under twice the pressure to get out.
Reply:Yes.

11 in a row is a lot to lose.
Reply:each side will spin the 'win' for their side. it is extremely close and both have good reasons for staying. if she had dropped out when they 'encouraged' her to do, she would not have been able to 'win' today, the more the merrier.

If the shoe were on the other foot, would Hillary be screaming?
Hey, Your Highness,

Lay off Hillary. I still like her.
Reply:I've never heard Hillary scream...or screech, but I have seen a lot of chauvinistic, hateful squawking in these replies. Maybe Hillary will stay in as long as Huckabee. Perhaps HIS is the scream you all hear!!
Reply:To the first answerer: the "screaming" is Hillary continuously attacking Obama for his speeches instead of promoting herself.

To answer the question, no, she would not be. This is just her way to cope with the losses. She is a sore loser.
Reply:She willbe in a couple of weeks.
Reply:Hillary Clinton as went out of her way to abuse spin. Reality supposedly always reflects well on her even when she loses. That behavior has cost her a lot of votes. In other words, she is a hypocrite. And if the shoe was on the other foot, she would indeed call for Obama to quit.
Reply:She is screaming!! Please tell her to stop!!
Reply:Banal Man has it right.

The once-proud fourth estate mainstream media is in shambles. They are whipped by corporate parents.

They turned off their brains and helped Bush in the run up to the war.

Now, they have turned off their brains again when it comes to Mr. Obama. They have no interest in asking hard questions of Mr. Obama. Where oh where is the ghost of Edward R.Murrow when you need him?

Oh,well.
Reply:Probably. But the difference is that she wouldn't get a pass from the media, like Obama does.
Reply:Yes, probably - but that's why we love Barack - he's a fighter :) He won't quit.
Reply:shes already ripping her hair out cuz barack hasn't dropped out.

but it sux for her cuz hes probably gonna win
Reply:Like a banshee!
Reply:There'll be no need for screaming. Hillary is going to steal the nomination from Obama, regardless of the outcome of the primaries. The DNC will do her dirty work for her at the convention. The ensuing riots will make the riots at the 1968 democrat convwention in Chicago look like recess time at kindergarten. It is Hillary's destiny to be President. SLOW marble race ideas?? HELPP!!!!?

ok for my science class in school, we have to construct a roller coaster type thing inside a shoe box.. but the catch is, the winner is the slowest one. we must have an entrance hole and an exit hole, and we cant touch the marble after it goes in.

we get extra points for creativity, so i need some creative ideas that can help me win :D :D

thanks!!

SLOW marble race ideas?? HELPP!!!!?
oh i did it in AG classes if she gives you tape and a roll just cut the roll in half and slightly slant it up with the straw and then on the way make speed bumps with the traw
Reply:Coat your track with honey. It's sticky and will slow the marble down. Or you could build your ramps out of marshmallows or Peeps cut in half.

Shoe position+knee pain... for MTB riding?

O.K. just finished winning a 24 hour mountainbike race with my awesome team----but my knee is killing me! Only my left, and I'm clipped in right I thought!! Any suggestions on what I could do to help it? Ice? Special Exercises? How do you find the sweet spot?

Shoe position+knee pain... for MTB riding?
Congratulations on the win!

Pity about your knee. I think you should do two things:

1 If this is persistent, get some advice from a good sports physio or a specialist doctor. It doesn't sound within the normal range of post-ride aches and pains.

2 Change your pedals for a set with more float - both frogs and eggbeaters are good in this respect. Maybe even consider returning to platforms. Try a few vigorous training rides on platforms and see if this cures the problem.

If you have the typical woman's wide pelvis your knee joints will be inwardly rotated to a greater degree than some (straight up and down) women and most men. You require the maximum floatability because the anatomical relationship in the length from hip joint to knee joint causes a lot more rotational movement of the long female femur.

Don't risk your knees, you'll spend more than half your life regretting it. I speak from experience. I'm a lifelong mad-keen cyclist. Now I'm in my mid-50's a ride every day with clicky knees and a dull, precisely bounded pain somewhere in the medial side of my right knee joint. Getting up stairs is painful for me and sometimes so acute I think my right knee is going to give way. Its a heavy price to pay when I still have maybe 35 years cycling left in me.
Reply:ice, rest, if not better in 5 days go see an orthopedic doctor, u might need pt
Reply:For my knee problems, it was a combination of asprin, FlexAll, and a heating pad that seemed to work the best. To try and prevent the knee problem again, check the position of your left cleat. What may be happening is that you are trying to heel in or heel out and do not have quite enough float in the cleat position to do so. This means you are trying to twist your heel to what is your normal position and can't because the cleat binds it. If you have a tendency to heel in (closer to the frame) turn the nose of the cleat to the right side of the shoe (looking at the shoe from the top). when it is clipped in, the cleat is straight with the pedal but the heel of the shoe is turned in closer to the frame. If you heel out (heel away from the frame) then angle the cleat's nose to the left to shift the heel out.

Does this seem like a good first horse?

okay i've seen this horse twice, and hes really sweet. he has the best ground manners ever, and he lifts up his feet when you ask. hes an ex race horse (a throughbred) and he responds well to leg cues he has a bumpy trot that i can get used too but he has a really nice canter .. its really smooth but the farrier put on one shoe a while ago and it was two sizes to big for it and crooked so he has a little problem where his right hind leg hits his left it doesn't bother him but its a downside and every time before i ride i'd have to put on polo wrap and bell boots( i think they're called )the lady said this problem could be fixed but my trainer said it probably couldn't and the lady said he was 11 but my trainer thought he was probably older by a year or two.. which i dont mind but yeah and also he isn't that great of a trail horse.. he can only do flat work and she said when he goes up or down he doesn't like it and shakes his head and stuff so he'd have to be trained to stop that

Does this seem like a good first horse?
if its gona be ur very first horse....i would say no! but im western and im a major beliver in quarter horses. and a horse shakin his head is a sign of discomfort or irritation...i have been in the horse world for many years and the WORST thing u can do is buy a horse that already has a foot or leg issue......be SURE before you buy ANY horse to MAKE sure you have him vet cheked,,,,...and with that leg issue there could be more harm on the inside so make sure you get his legs xrayed. its best to spend more money up front then deal with surgerys or vet bills later on...it will save you a LOT of money in the long run!:)ALSO TAT PRICE IS WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR THAT HORSE
Reply:NO WAY!!! Race horses have way to many problems my friend has been riding for years and still has trouble with hers you need something you can trust especially since this is your first horse go to www.dreamhorse.com and look for a horse that has been riden by kids and is good on trails. He soinds like he ha health issues so if you are really considering buying him call out a vet you know and trust and ave him do a pre purchase exam
Reply:he seems pretty good but how experienced are you? how long have you been riding? if you have been riding for a long time (like 5 or 6 years) and are a good rider then you should be okay. if you have only been riding for a year or so then no, he is not a good first horse.

the head shaking thing is a problem but your trainer should be able to show you how to fix that. would you be jumping him (sense you mentioned his jumping ability)? if you are then i would think hard about that, can you handle him being new to jumping? will his foot be problematic if he goes to jump higher? the price seems high to me too.....
Reply:well you should get a easy going horse for your first horse so well he sounds pretty good.
Reply:DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY ONE

There sounds like there isnt that much wrong with the horse AND THERE IS DEFENITLY NOTHING WRONG WITH EX RACE HORSES

If the horse shakes his head it might be the bit they use not his attitude use a loose ring snaffle or something

But the only things i would be thinking of is you said it had aproblem with one of its legs from the shoe it had on i would suggest getting a vet/different farrier from the owners to check it out for u

BUT the horse sounds like it has ALOT of needs and requirements if i were u i would think twice and think of just how much effort u are willing to put in to make this horse work

if he only does ground work i would be concerend if the reason is because it hurts the horse to do otherrwise if so then i wouldnt buy

and try to turn up at the owners house one day with out letting them know that was u can be sure they have not drugged the horse

i he is older that 10 then you probably should just keep looking because u cant really teach him anything now with out and argument between u both

Also that price is absolutely rediculous for a horse wit that many faults and the age

sorry if this isnt the answer u want to hear but

maybe you should just keep looking :(

p.s if u live in the sydney area in new south wales then check out a place called "Endeavour Park Equestrian Centre" the lady who owns it is very nice and knows what she is talking abt and definatly has some nice horses up for sale!

xoxo laura
Reply:keep looking. i wouldnt buy him for a first horse.
Reply:I would say that horse isn't the best. If I were you I would deffinatly go with a quarter horse. They are extremely reliable horses. But start with a horse around 15 or so. Make sure it has no health issues or behavorial problems. And also make sure it's eyes aren't blue or white at all. They are known to have depth perception problems.
Reply:really think about if this is the horse you want, because it's going to be your horse, and it's got to be the perfect one. Try a lot of horses, and you'll know when you have the horse you really want. Good luck on your hunt!
Reply:You didn't really say how you intend to use the horse and how much experience you have, or your age, sex and body size. All of these are important. In any event, based on the info you've provided, I strongly recommend against buying this horse.

You can find plenty of horses for the price range you're considering, without the potential problems and "excess baggage" this horse seems to have. I'm particularly concerned about his uneven stride, rough trot, and unsuitability for trail riding. I seriously doubt that his uneven stride is due to a recent horseshoeing problem. It sounds like a conformational defect.

Personally, I wouldn't restrict myself to a single breed, such as quarter horses for example. Judge the individual horse on its merits - disposition, training, conformation, etc. There's nothing wrong with a good grade horse (mixed breed).

If possible, look at 10 or more horses before making your decision. It will be fun and educational. By the time you've done this, you'll have a much better idea what to look for and how much to pay.

To me, appearance is important. I want a horse who is alert, with good head and neck carriage and good general body shape - AS WELL AS a good, even stride in all gaits.

The size of the horse should fit the rider. The current fashion is for big horses, 15+ hands. To me, this is ridiculous. Many of the best horses will be smaller than this (and lower priced, because of the big horse mentality of most buyers). If you insist on a 15+ hand horse, you are eliminating many of your best prospects.

If you are an inexperienced rider, in general I recommend that you stay away from young horses (under 5 or 6 years of age) unless they are very calm and well-trained. Except under special circumstances, I seldom buy a horse over 10-12 years of age. I expect to put a lot of time, money and effort into training my horses and I want a payback over several years.

Also, older horses may be "used up" depending on how they've been ridden and trained, or have too many bad habits with are difficult to unlearn.

I recommend a gelding for your fist horse, although many mares are also suitable. Do not consider a stallion.

Good luck!

After dealing with our nation's leader,

i would deal with a number 1 killer.

giving people hope will jst bring tears.

i want to change this planet,

to make it a better world.

but to start fixing this not so perfect place,

i have to win a future presidential race.

polar icecaps are melting in the north and south,

killing animals almost every day,

such an easy problem to fix,

all we have 2 do is recyle some garbage away.

car makes

Too many spondors per team?

when we have a top 35 B.S. rules to "protect" the sponsors "investments" yet we have cars that have as many as three diffrent paint jobs in a season, carl edwards with office depot/aflac/claritan, ky bush with mars/interstate batteries, j gordon having pepsi/dupont, dale jr with mt dew and the national gaurd, and the list goes on and on,

yet we have guys busting their buts trying to get into the show on shoe string budgets with no sponsors, like jon andretti and a few others,

do you feel nascar is doing too much to protect the sponsor at expense of the little guy race teams?

Too many spondors per team?
It takes big bucks these days to be a primary sponsor. It takes big bucks these days to hire a "good" driver. It takes big bucks these days and the people in the stands want to see the big name drivers when they go to the track. I want to see big name drivers when I watch on t.v. So how do you fix this? "Fastest 43 in qualifying race"? What if Jeff Gordon crashes in qualifying and doesn't make the race? What if Jimmie Johnson blows out a tire during the same qualifying session? And let's suppose Tony Stewart's engine blows up and Junior's car is just "off". Just how many of those fans in the stands and the ones at home are going to watch a race minus the 24, 48, 20, and 88? One whole heck of a lot more than the ones who didn't watch or attend because the 45 wasn't on the track!

But back to your question: yes, I do think NASCAR does too much to protect the sponsor. But how do you get the genie back in the bottle?
Reply:Unfortunately Dude, It was said 2 maybe, 3 years ago that nascar would eventually have only 10 to 11 owners because of the miti-car teams and the single car Teams will eventually become extinct. I think that sucks myself because the COT was brought in to help alleviate that problem, and of course... it hasn't helped at all because the multi-car teams are " Dumping " A ton of money in R %26amp; D and the 1, 2 car teams cant keep up PERIOD!

GO # 9 Kasey Kahne
Reply:Something needs to be done!!!!-- It is a Shame that Yates cant get a Sponsor and Yates has been in Nascar for Decades!!!!!!!!
Reply:Yes.

'nuff said.
Reply:Nascar could do anything and its not going to change the haves and have nots. The teams that do things right will be successful and draw sponsors and the other teams will not. These things are cyclical. Remember in 2004, they could hardly find 43 cars to show up for races at the beginning of the year. The economy will eventually turn around.
Reply:NASCAR doesn't get the sponsors for cars, the teams do. Same for IRL and F1, WoO, etc.

Yates obviously hasn't been successful pitching for a sponsor for #28 %26amp; #38. It takes 15-20 million/year PER team to be in the top twenty teams.
Reply:There's a saying that says: "If you want a good insight into how the economy is doing, see who's sponsoring Nascar".

With that said, the economy sucks right now when it takes 2 or 3 sponsors to field 1 car. Sponsorship money is high dollar and many corporations simply can't afford or are afraid to shell money out for an entire season! So you get these trends of shared sponsorships.

I never liked the 35 rule but I'm not sure of a better way to do it and still give the little guys a shot at the show. Maybe it should be the top 25 or something instead!?!

Texas Republicans - can you stomach this?

Vote for Hillary on Tuesday. Rush is right on this issue, McCain is a shoe in pretty much and we need both Hillary and Obama to fight it out some more so they are weakend for the Nov. race. Can you stomach it to vote for Hillary?

Texas Republicans - can you stomach this?
Sounds like a good strategy to me !! The strain on DNC chairman "jerk" Howard Dean has got to be showing too. Im sure he is utterly frustrated by now as is Hilary 'they were both in bed with each other" in respect of her being the "inevitable nominee. And the cracks are already showing in Obama's armor as well. I think it great when you can watch the two of them destroy each other!
Reply:YES? Total shock for me to hear that one. I heard Rush's point and agreed totally. I would have never thought that Rush would endorse a Clinton for anything but he's totally correct on this one. Billary really is the only person who will sling mud all over the place. Well Slick Willy's doing a good job at it to. Obama is an interesting and intriguing guy. He has not been called on to much of anything and the Clinton's will do it in a last ditch effort to try to win. They will get a free pass at throwing mud where we Republicans can't. So I say go at it Billary and Slick Willy hopefully you'll stick around long enough to ruin the liberal Democratic Party. BIHB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:It doesn't matter who wins the primaries...there is no way that McCain is actually going to win the actual election- this country is so sick of republicans right now- and there are more democrats turning out to vote anyway. Who cares if McCain is a shoe in, he's still not going to win in November.
Reply:The Wounded Warriors Act, S.713, was introduced by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) and Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) on February 28, 2007. The bill would mandate standards of care and facilities for wounded soldiers. It would create a congressionally appointed Wounded Warrior Oversight Board, a 24-hour bilingual hotline, employment protections for caregiver family members and a zero-tolerance for pest infestations at recovery facilities. The bill was introduced in the wake of public furor over a series in the Washington Post detailing squalid conditions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center

Reply:I wish I could. I didn't realize that it took 30 days for voter registration to kick in so I can't vote in the primary.
Reply:Let Hillary and Obama duke it out and then through all their negatives most of the people will see what true socialistic/commies both of these people represent. They would start the loss of what America represents.

We have freedom and the opportunities lost to many of the socialist countries. We are far more advanced due to good old American initiatives.

The beliefs of these two Liberals are that Americans are Just not good enough, or reliable enough to achieve on our own.

They also do not want you to know that as a country we are far more charitable when it comes to helping our fellow man.

Yet, they would force us into paying higher taxes and making our decisions for us.

We are a great nation, because we are Americans, not American'ts!

Vote McCain in '08!

MMMMMMM.

Yeah, sound like a pretty good strategy actually.

The longer they slug it out the greater the chance of a messed up convention.Bad conventions usually doom the nominee.

The problem is that there appears to be some Republicans voting for Obama for a couple of hare-brained reasons.

Some don't like McCain and want him to lose.Their retarded reasoning is that Obama will be like Jimmy Carter and yield twenty years of Repub. administrations.

Yeah, maybe after they clean up the Jimmy Carter like recession and results of the same kind of foriegn policy. No thanks. One election at a time for me.

And even worse, some Repubs actually LIKE Obama!

Hey,take it from this Democrat.

You definitely will regret that vote.

Why do you think I'm crossing party lines to vote for McCain?

<open this: is good>?

This is how you can annoy people in an elavator...

Act like a dog, growl at people.

Announce in a demonic voice: “I must find a more suitable host body.”

Apply dripping red paint around the edge of the roof hatch. When someone enters, look upwards and whisper "I think they want in..."

Ask each passenger getting on if you can push the button for them. Press the wrong ones.

Ask everyone what they made for their side dish.

Ask someone to take your temperature, then turn around and bend over.

Ask, “did you hear that cable snapping sound?”

Attempt to hypnotize the other passengers.

Bet the other passengers you can fit a quarter in your nose.

Blow spit balls at the ceiling.

Blow your nose and offer to show the contents of your Kleenex to other passengers.

Blow your nose on your sleeve.

Bring a camera, take pictures of everybody in the elevator.

Bring a chair along.

Bring easy math flash cards on the elevator and ask the person next to you to help you study them (get them wrong).

Burp, and then say “mmmm...tasty!”

Call out, “Group hug!” and enforce it.

Draw a volleyball on the wall of the elevator and insist you have been trapped in there for 3 months. Formally introduce everyone to the volleyball!

Dress as a clergy member of the opposite sex.

Drop a pen and wait until someone reaches to help pick it up, then scream, “That’s mine!”

Eat jello through a straw.

Frown and mutter "gotta go, gotta go" then sigh and say "oops!"

Shadow box.

Shave.

Show other passengers a wound and ask if it looks infected.

Sing “Mary had a little lamb” while continually pushing buttons.

Sing: "I know a song that gets on everybody's nerve's, everybody's nerves, everybody's nerves, i know a song that gets on everybody's nerves and it goes like this!" to the tune of "camp town lady".....pause.....repeat....continuall...

Stand really close to someone, sniffing them occasionally.

Stand silent and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.

Stare at another passenger for a while, then announce “You’re one of THEM!” and move to the far corner of the elevator.

Stare at your thumb and say, "I think it's getting larger."

Stare, grinning, at another passenger for a while, and then announce “I’ve got new socks on!”

Start a sing-along.

Start reciting "Green Eggs and Ham" and ask people what comes next.

Take a bite of a sandwich and ask another passenger: “Wanna see wha in muh mouf?”

Tap dance.

Tell everyone about the hidden rooftop penthouse belonging to the mob.

Tell everyone about your love life.

Tell people you can see their aura.

Tell the passengers not to worry. The bomb won't go off for at least another two minutes.

Throw a party in the vator!

Try to purchase an article of clothing from the person next to you.

Untie one shoe, then tie the other. Repeat.

Walk in circles. Change directions when you hit a passenger.

Walk on with a cooler that says “human head” on the side.

Wave hands wildly at invisible flies buzzing around your head.

Wear “X-Ray Specs” and leer suggestively at other passengers.

Wear a basketball jersey. Show everyone your armpit. Works best if you get a good workout and don't use deodorant.

Wear a puppet on your hand and talk to other passengers "through" it.

Wear a Santa suit...in June.

Wear a ski mask and carry an axe.

Wear complete SCUBA gear, then offer your buddy hose to the other passengers

When the elevator doors close, bang on them, screaming let me out!

When arriving at your floor, grunt and strain to yank the doors open, then act embarrassed when they open by themselves.

When at least 8 people have boarded, moan from the back: “Oh, not now... motion sickness!”

When the elevator doors close, announce to the others, “It’s okay, don’t panic, they’ll open again.”

When the doors close pretend you arm got caught in it.

When the doors open, pretend you did it with your mind.

When the elevator is silent, look around and ask, "Is that your beeper?"

When the elevator reaches another passenger’s floor, scream and collapse in front of the door.

When there’s only one other person on the elevator, tap them on the shoulder and pretend it wasn’t you.

While the doors are opening, hurriedly whisper, “hide it...quick!” then whistle innocently.

Whistle the first seven notes of “It’s a Small World” incessantly.

What's a respectable 5K goal for this year, my 1st 5K year? I ran 36 minutes my 1st try...?

Hi. I used to be a track star back in the late 80's. Now I'm determined to resume running for the rest of my life. So far, so good. I run 2 miles daily now, sometimes a little more. I go somewhat slowly, but my fitness level is pretty decent.

On June 3, having trained only about a week (registered late, wasn't serious before...) in the POURING BUCKETS rain and a shoe lace that kept untying, I ran a 5K in 36 minutes.

I'm running my 2nd on August 26 and my goal is 28 - 30 minutes. I think it is very doable. What should my goal be for a race I'll run say in October? I plan to train about 5 days per week.

Thanks!

(more details if needed: I'm a 36 year old female, 5'10, pretty muscular, about 190 pounds ... )

What's a respectable 5K goal for this year, my 1st 5K year? I ran 36 minutes my 1st try...?
Well depends, you say your a 36 year old female who is 190 pounds-thats allot of weight for a runner especially for a woman. If you cut down some on the weight say to about 170 and train hard a 8 minute mile (a little over 24 minutes) should be a good goal
Reply:Try 25 minutes. That's 8:00 per mile pace.
Reply:Considering your age and height, I definitely believe you should be able to run sub 24 minutes, maintining the weekly training sessions. As a former runner, it will all come back, like they say, "just like 'riding a bike'. Good luck!
Reply:a good goal by october should be 24 minutes. you should be able to do it.
Reply:When I was in my late 20's I ran 10k's in about 40 minutes. That is a bit over 6 minutes a mile but under 7 minute miles. Your time is not comparable to that, but neither are our workouts. I was in great shape and ran alot. Just try to keep the events spread out so you are not always in training mode. Time to relax after each, then winding up for the next one is the best. Your times will decrease as you train more. Do NOT try to outrun the best in the World!!!! It is not possible, they can run circles around most of us!!!! Just try to do better each time until you feel like that is all you want to do. Your body will tell you when that comes. Good luck and happy running!

Bone Chip/Calcified knee?

I own a mare Ive had 8 years. In 2003 she came up w/ a "fluid pocket" on her left knee. Xrays done %26amp; we discovered 2 tiny bone chips on the top joint of the knee. They were removed. She did GREAT for a few years until the knee started calcifying. Started out soft like a pocket of liquid %26amp; has since turned hard. She has lost 1/2 the movement in the knee.

I barrel race %26amp; the horse is running better than she EVER has before. She wants to work. But in the last 1yr and 1/2 you can tell it is starting to hurt her. I dont think its b/c of the calcified knee itself. If I am not mistaken calcium is stronger than bone. That knee doesn't hurt. Its everything else that hurts after compensating for the loss of movement in that knee.

She gets special shoeing, glucosamine shots, lysine %26amp; msn %26amp; I am lookin into gettin her knees injected- I have never been one to want to do that!

Anyone know of anything else I can feed her, any procedures maybe change in diet?

Can't find much info on internet!

Bone Chip/Calcified knee?
I am a veterinary technician in a equine clinic. I will answer as best I can with my veterinary expertise. Of course this is still no substitute to having a qualified veterinarian actually see and treat your mare.

It is likely arthritis in that knee joint, either from damage with the previous chips, or maybe there are new chips. The "calcifying" could be arthritic changes to the bones of the knee or some of the soft tissue (joint pouch lining) becoming mineralized/calcified. In either case, injecting her joint should certainly help. Drugs for such a thing are usually steroids and/or hyaluronic acid (synthetic joint fluid). The steroids (which are quite safe) help reduce inflammation (therefore reducing pain and slowing the progression of arthritis). The HA helps lubricate the joint which will also feel better. Work with your vet to discuss what drugs to put in there. We use triamcinolone (steroid), which is really good and safe for most joint. There are others, like Depo-Medrol, but that one is harsher to the cartilage in high-motion joints. There are several brands of the HA, and it mostly depends on how much you want to spend. There are differences in quality, so cheaper is not always better. Since I am not a licensed vet, I will not give dose information, and I can say those are drugs we commonly use but cannot say these are the specific drugs your horse should get.

Some horses improve with injections, some don't, some need it re-injected every 4-6 weeks, some before every competition, some twice a year. It depends on her particular degree of lameness, frequency of use, etc. At our clinic, we see lots of reining horses, very hard on their hocks. Some are obviously lame at a trot, but return to soundness just with the injection every few months.

There are risks with injecting a joint! Any time you stick a needle in there, you risk infecting the joint by accident. If your vet takes proper precautions when prepping the injection site, being in a clean environment, and probably sedating the mare so she doesn't move, you can minimize the potential for infection. I have seen horrible infections from vets and owners who didn't know what they were doing but did it anyway.

Another option might be to do surgery again. If the arthritis is affecting the bones of the knee, some of that calcification could be removed with arthroscopic surgery. A surgeon can "clean up" the joint by removing that and reduce the amount of arthritis in there. This is the more expensive option, but may give your horse a longer useful career.

Arthritis is, of course, an in-curable disease that will always get worse as time goes by. I know from personal experience the frustration of owning a horse with arthritis. A time will come when your mare will need to be retired, and it is up to your discretion and good judgment to tell when that is. In my opinion, is she is still that willing to go and do her job, it is because she has heart and likes what she does. It would be beneficial to her and you to have a vet look at her again. New x-rays, at a bare minimum, if you haven't had any recently. I don't know how experienced your vet is, but a second opinion may be a good idea too. Not that I think you are on the wrong track now, but it never hurts to get another person's opinion. Maybe make a trip to your nearest veterinary school hospital. The vets that work there are often specialized in surgery or medicine, and are very experienced in sorting out tough cases, and new treatment methods. Maybe a bit more expensive, maybe a long trip from where you live, but maybe worth it to you and your horse.

I think you are on the right track that she is sore in other places because she is compensating for her knee. If you help her knee, I bet the rest of her will even out. It makes sense, and we see that a lot too. A lot of people say their horse has a sore back -- and they are probably right -- but usually the back is sore because of a lameness in one or more legs. Fixing the leg lameness fixes the sore back.

Well there's my opinion. Sorry it's wordy, but hope you find something helpful. Good luck to you and your mare! I'm a Paint person too.

PS... I'll probably get slammed from someone for saying this, but... Beware of track vets. Some may be good, but lots of them do whatever it takes to get a horse sound, and a lot of those things are unethical and illegal. They have other things they can inject with, and some of those things are more damaging to the horse than to do nothing at all. Be careful.
Reply:I didn't read any other answers to your question. First I'd say DO NOT Inject! That can be less help than the original surgery.

Look at this website http://www.dynamitemarketing.com

They are supplements and topicals for animals and humans. I use this personally everyday for everything from my mules to my kids. My hubby even takes it! haha

I would suggest the Wound Balm as a sweat. Also Dynamite Excel would help with her overall soreness. You have msm, how about using glucosamine and condrotin as an oral supplement instead of injections.

Feel free to IM me (cbmules2000) if you have any questions. You can't order online without being a distributor but we could find one in your area.
Reply:The best thing is called: Retirement

doesn't mean she has to stop riding, just stop the hard turning. Let her be a trail horse or leasure riding. Many good years left.
Reply:You really need a track vet to evaluate her.. Some knees that look really boggy produce no pain... others that show little physiological changes are a mess inside. And, how she moves without bute, would indicate her pain level.
Reply:maybe add calcium into her diet, that should make her bones stronger...
Reply:I agree with Phoebe, there are times when meds can do no more and horses need to be put to more leisurely activities.

Unless the vet has some miraculous idea for you, probably giving up barrel racing is the best.

Sorry about your mare.

Okey dokey,

Well I guess I assumed you knew what a calcified knee was----arthritis.. So that being the case, your horse has a severe case of arthritis you YOURSELF said the horse has been hurting the last 1.5 yrs. Heck go ahead and barrel race, but dont come on here begging for answers when obviously you only have one goal in mind, the rest of us have your horses welfare. Good day...

Regarding racial sensitivity, what topics should be avoided when talking with black people?

If a black is too light, is it ok to ask about their race? Does a black get offended when confused with a mexican or indian? If by doing so I just put a shoe in my mouth, how do I fix it?

Regarding racial sensitivity, what topics should be avoided when talking with black people?
Hi Martha !!! I've read your Q/A page and from looking at a few of your answer's-this being your first question-I know you did not mean to provoke a responce-so, first read again your 'guidelines' you must read the list of forbidden question's okay,or how do you know if your breaking the rules;now the nice bit-click on any avatar and you can read their Q'A's too-all of them-so you can check anybody out and they can't pretend to be someone they are not, answer (give) lot's,ask (take) little and wisely and above all be nice-enjoy .ktf.x
Reply:Thank you so much,we all make mistakes but if you learn by them they become valuable lesson's and not wasted sufferance.x Report It

Reply:ummm. just don't talk about how your great-great-great-great granddaddy used to own his or her great-great-great-great granddaddy and you'll be okay.
Reply:Don't ever mention basketball, watermelon or fried chicken!

Just kidding and you're a troll!!
Reply:if there's a watermelon shortage, keep it to yourself.
Reply:What the hell do you mean too light? What is too light and who determines that? If you have to try that hard to be politically correct when talking to a black person, you must have something to hide. Why do you care what a person's race anyway? I can't speak for all black people because I am only one of many, but as a light skinned black woman with brown eyes and long hair, my race is sometimes questioned. I am the proud product of two other light skinned black people. Black people come in all shades. Our race is blended. I feel as though black people are generally receptive of our differences. If you have already put your foot in your mouth when talking to a black person, then just chew it off and limp away. You sound like an undercover racist to me or maybe not. Maybe I am or maybe I'm overly sensitive. Either way, just let it ride and don't do it again.
Reply:The term "black people." The term "a black." If you put your foot in your mouth, just say "Scuse my whitebread brain -- I can't help it." They'll understand.
Reply:monkeys and evolution.
Reply:All races have points they are sensitive about. I would have to know someone really well before I would approach the subject of race or color at all. There are people I have worked with for years of various nationalities that respect each other and can laugh about certain things without getting angry. If there is a race joke to be made, I let the person of color do it themselves. I just say we are all in the "human race." There is a lot of pain associated with certain race topics and I wouldn't want to stir up painful things. Just like I don't want to be called whitey, redneck, or get comments about not being able to dance. :)
Reply:I would not "avoid" any topics at all, just be sincere about the topics you do discuss. More real talk creates fewer problems.
Reply:You should ask yourself why, you need to quantify the "degree" of blackness a black person is. Why are you curious about "how black" they are. When you see a light skinned black person, why are you curious "what they are mixed with"?

I think the only reason why you would ask anyone how much black they have in their background is because you are trying to rationalize "how much black does someone have to be to look light skinned like you", "how much 'other' are you mixed with".

Why should it ever cross your mind?

Can't people just "be" people?

What you have obviously forgotten is that Blacks have been in the USA for 500 years, during that time there has been a lot of cultural blending, and that accounts for the differences in skin colors. I wouldn't ask anyone "how much black they have or how much white they have" unless I was an extremely good friend. And if you were such a good friend, you wouldn't care what percentage of white/black they are. You should just leave it at that.

If you ask a stranger and they are offended, you deserve whatever comes from them.
Reply:Yeah, try NOT caring. We're all human beings. My black friends and I LAUGH about our differences.
Reply:those are not insults! you are just being curious as most white people are.
Reply:Treat all persons the same.I think you would be better off remembering that we are all the same under our skin, and not to worry about colour. Our blood is red, we all have vital organs, we all are born and we all eventually die. We are all human beings. We all deserve to be treated with respect despite of our colour, religion, ethnicity or age.
Reply:it seems obvious you are talking about americans of african descent.
Reply:Why don't you just forget their skin colour and treat them like a person? Just as you'd like to be treated.
Reply:How about treating them as a person and not worrying about their skin colour or what race they are?
Reply:Make fun of white people
Reply:How about when you are talking to someone, you speak to them as a human being rather than a race or a color. That's a novel idea, huh?! ? And if you do stick your foot in your mouth, the best way to fix it is- big shock, here- say "I'm sorry" . How 'bout that for brilliance?!!!?
Reply:well well well mr bigot......
Reply:You can talk about anything you like, provided what you say is not humiliating them. But this applies for every kind of people and races, not only blacks.
Reply:Why don't you think of everyone as a person and not as a skin color? That would go a long way to change your way of thinking, which is the problem!!
Reply:How about not caring if they're black, mexican or whatever? Not important anyway and I would not talk about slavery...
Reply:Everyone is an individual... I guess the best thing I can tell you is to think before you speak. If you think you might insult or offend someone then don't say it. If you do say it anyway (insert foot in mouth here) then apologize sincerely... maybe ask that person to talk to you and educate you about their culture. By the way - there is no such thing as "a black being too light" - people from all different cultures come in many different shades and no shade is the right shade. Some white people have darker complexions than others, that doesn't make them 'wrong'.
Reply:Say "hey are you mixed"?then you will get a answer without a negative attitude. Its just rude to start assuming.Avoid when hanging around black people the N word of coarse. You may see black people call each other that and feel comfortably fine with it, because they share the same emotional back ground of the word.Whites or any other race will never know what it feels like to humiliated with just one word. Avoid trying to act black,if your white be white. It only makes you look dumb and fake by trying to fit in by using slang.Black people like white people that act white because they are white.other than that be yourself. And because your probably not use to associating with black people you might want to bring some pepper sprey?lol (just kidding,I'm black)lol, lol, lol.
Reply:I am not offended by any sincere questions or topics. If you really know the person, it will not bother them. If you don't know this person well, I'd keep my mouth shut.

It's not just Black people. I had an Italian friend in college and I always wanted to ask the mafia question. Not all Italian familes are in the mob but what the hell we were friends. He wasn't offended at all. If a stranger had asked the same question it might have pissed him off.
Reply:Don't bother asking about their race. It's not particularly important, unless you're going to go around saying, "one of my best friends is a black person." It's not necessary to know. The person will probably understand that they appear racially ambiguous and volunteer their own information.

Also, do not bring up slavery or say how horrible something a lot of black people support is. It can turn a meek and hospitable housewife into a mad black woman.
Reply:Just talk to them as if you couldn't see a skin color but a person, You shouldn't "Avoid any Questions with any one if you have to ask just ask in a nice way. I think when someones talking to a Black Person they tend to "avoid" certain subjects only because a lot of times (In Movies, TV shows etc.) Black People are Portrayed as Loud mean Angry People but that's not always true a persons skin color does not determine there Personality.
Reply:Ribs, chitlins and black eyed peas.

Why didn't the democrats get a more suitable candidate this election year?

The Dem's had a shoe election this year. Instead of going with an Al Gore type figure, they chose to "roll the dice" by picking a woman and a black male. You can cry racism all you want, but at the end of the day, there will be people, and a lot of them, who are are just plain not ready to see a black male, or a female in office. By no means am I suggesting it's right, but thats just still how it is. So why throw away votes at the expense of the democratic party? From a numbers point of view, it just doesn't make sense to me. Races are judged by numbers-not what's right and wrong.

Why didn't the democrats get a more suitable candidate this election year?
I used to be of the same mindset. Going into the primaries I said the only way the dem's could lose would be to nominate an african american or a woman or both. But over the course of the primaries I've started to realize how much the country hates the direction we are in and is striving for a higher level. Both Senator Clinton and Senator Obama bring this out in our nation's electorate. I think to a large extent so does Sen. McCain but the people just can't back 4 more years of similar policies to Bush. Plus I think people genuinely worry who he will pick as VP given the fact that he has said he won't run for reelection and some worry about his age/health.
Reply:Young, impressionable college liberals are naive enough to think Obama can possibly keep his promises of "hope and change". When the American Idol generation grows up maybe they will realize how politics work and that it is silly and outrageous to elect a man with no political or legislative accomplishments and to elect a man solely on his word. Actions speak louder than words, all Barack has to offer is words. Most politicians don't keep their word anyway so it'd be nice if he had some significant political accomplishments rather than voting "present" on every bill.
Reply:It seems to me they no longer want any one in the white house with the candidates they have run in recent years..and currently.. It makes no sense.. I guess their hierarchy thinks all of America is liberal... but that's a huge mistake.. we who work and pay the bills are not of the liberal views... those who dont work.. or are wealthy from money that was given them .. well they are the liberals.. thank goodness the workers out number the beggars and dreamers.
Reply:it look like the republicans went back in time and got them a old dinosaur for their candidate .look who talking when you had the worst ever candidates running on the Republican side . a Mormon a evangelical preacher , a NY corrupt politician ,and a old warmonger dinosaur .lmao
Reply:Because they felt this is the year they can jam anyone down our throats. Bush was so bad, our elitist far left leaders thought we will accept anybody. What fools. 8 more years of nothingness to look forward to. McCain will win in a landslide.
Reply:Well considering that both Democrats are leading McCain in all polls they really didn't need to. Perhaps the republicans should have chosen a candidate who can actually beat these Democrats who you call un-suitable.
Reply:Exactly as you say.

They are so cocksure of a win they feel they can run anyone.

Think about it,Isn't it surprising they didn't run a open homosexual?
Reply:You forgot to mention an 'unknown'. Everyone, even Republicans, are wondering the same thing.
Reply:Hopefully, you'll be proven wrong.
Reply:AMEN! We screwed ourselves.
Reply:I totally agree with you on this one. And Jeff G's got it right!

Republican has my vote.
Reply:In the beginning of this election process there were several good candidates for President but the two that survived were outstanding Black and Female candidates and the rest is history. The real test of this country tolerance is to be seen. Voters are registering in large numbers as Democrats more than in the history of the Democratic Party. Democrats are raising more money, primarily by small donations. The messages for change has resonated with voters and were adopted by both candidates. This should be a great time for a qualified woman and Black to be president. It's time for a change.

Why do people keep calling Rev. Wright Obama's mentor when he said he wasn't?

A lot of people go to church and they don't say their pastor was their mentor. I mean where is the true dirt on this guy? Let's See

1. Guilt by association( Rev. Wright makes him racist, Ayers make him hate America)

2. Not wearing a Flagpin( The last time I check our country represent more than a flag)

3. Bitter comment( I think a lot of people is bitter about gas prices, food prices, Government running deficits, going to wars and politicans not doing their jobs) Did I miss something?

Again where is the dirt,

Did the man have conflict of interest while senator or state senator?

I think there was a lot people not understand what was the hype over this guy. But as time went on he started to get a following and that excitement started to generated wins in the primaries. He built up such a big lead he could have lost the remaining primaries and still won the nominiation. Now if the shoe was on the other foot, Clinton and the media would have ask Obama to get out of the race.

Why do people keep calling Rev. Wright Obama's mentor when he said he wasn't?
I believe Obama said Wright was his spiritual advisor/mentor. Obama wrote a book he said Wright inspired him. Some white and people of color simply will not vote for a black man even though he's qualified. Racism. Plain and simple. Now they are say he wen to Trinity for 20 years. I don't care about that. Obama's church is his personal business. If Obama's church/former pastor is an issue, it should be an issue for all the candidates not just Obama. I believe Obama's problem is six degrees of separation. They want to hang Rev. Wright around Obama's neck but give Hillary and John a free pass. John Hagee is John McCain spiritual adviser. That is one example. Who a racist bigot. John McCain has several spiritual advisor: Rod Parsley, Bill Cunningham etc. etc. Hillary has association with people who worship Nazis. the Clinton's has so many bones in the closet. You can't close the door but the TV media isn't covering John and Hillary dirty laundry. I believe in separation of church and state. The media and Americans stop the double standard. The media will twist and spin Obama's church and former pastor into something that's negative. Most people are defining Senator Obama by Rev. Wright. Plus, the Right Wing for months has been spreading false rumors, lies and half truths about Obama. Many people who do not like Obama are Right Wingers.

OBAMA '08

OBAMA IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT NOT REV. WRIGHT...
Reply:Well my guess is that it's based on the fact that Obama went to his church for 20 years. Rev. Wright was the pastor there for a long time and even baptised Obama's children.

Mentor may be a bit strong of an analogy, because not everyone has a mentor like relationship with their church's leader. Spiritual advisor is probably more accurate and appropriate.
Reply:Obama's the one who referred to Wright as his mentor..nobody made that up.

Obama used his membership in Wright's church to establish credibility in the black communities of Chicago...this helped him win a State Senate seat... Now that Wright is no longer needed by Obama, Barack now says he basically never knew the guy, or that Wright is not the same person he knew, or some such nonsense.
Reply:Didn't Obama say that in his book?

Wright was pastor/friend/mentor of Obama for the past TWENTY years. Obama was there when Hamas was given space in the church bullieten. Obama was there when Farrakhan was given a life time achievement award. Obama was there when Wright said the country is run by white supremecists, etc, etc.
Reply:He said wright was his spiritual advisor...mentor since he was child maried him and baptized his chillin...
Reply:Your argument is weak, and you know it.

This is a man who Obama has called his "crazy uncle" and "who has been like family".

Remember......"I can no more disown this man, than I could disown my own white grandmother".

Nice try though.
Reply:Nice try at revisionist history.

Obama dedicated his book to "Reverend " Wright and called him his Mentor and Spiritual Adviser. At one time Wright was on the Obama campaign staff.
Reply:OK, let's not even bring those things you mentioned into play. Obama is a far-left liberal who's short on experience. That's enough to disqualify him in my book.
Reply:Obama called Rev Wright his mentor %26amp; spiritual advisor - /in print/.
Reply:Sorry, but whites are the majority in this country, and they are not going to vote for a racist like Obama. Period.
Reply:Obama implied he was his mentor, "He's like an uncle to me." Just one example.

When you hear 20 years of hate...you become hate...

Helping the neighborhood...yea right....while the "preacher" is building his million dollar home. He is just helping his self!
Reply:I'm pretty sure that he said the reverand was his spiritual adviser....would you have somebody with views like that as an adviser?

He is not a regular Joe..he is running for the highest elected office in the United States..and as such needs to be above reproach in these matters..which he is not.

If all of this had come to light early on, I can guarantee that he would not have a third of the following that he has had.

Guilt by association...have you ever heard of an accomplice?

I think that you should do your research a little better so that you can make an argument that actually holds water...
Reply:Obama listened too this man preach for 20 years he was like an Uncle too him... i don't wanna hear that he never heard any racist remarks in this church ...do you know what black liberation theology is ....... read about Dwight Hopkins and James Cones there spoke about in Obamas church.... MORE THEN YOU THINK ... REV. WRIGHT speaks about this alot during sermons what you saw on TV isn't as bad as what you don't see..... there's alot more too this then you can imagine.... what goes on in this church......AND i bet you haven't heard the last of REV. WRIGHT yet !!!!!!!
Reply:Obama is no longer believable. He used horrible judgment

by not distancing himself from Wright BEFORE he

announced his candidacy. He had to know that Wright

was highly capable of making anti-American and anti-white

statements. Did he think that no one would notice?

Perhaps, he shares some of Wright's views. Why did

he make him part of his campaign team, as religious

advisor. Stupid move. Not the kind of judgment to make

for a good president.

If the Wright exposure has occurred prior to Super Tuesday,

Obama would now be losing big time. If people had a

chance to recast their vote today, Obama would be losing

big time. If it were not for African-American voters exercising

their "hoorah OJ" mentality in this election, Obama would

be losing big time.
Reply:Knowing people doesn't automatically mean you agree with them on everything or even anything.

I'm still looking for when Obama said Wright was his "spiritual advisor", it seems that only the pundits think he was.

EDIT: Love that some are trying to used the tired "20 years!" argument, even though we can't find anything really controversial before April 2003.
Reply:'cause people need a reason to hate Obama. It doesn't have anything to do with anything logical.

Right wingers enjoy mouthing the lies of the Billionaire Press - so Rev Wright is the current lie they mouth.

When that runs out fat little Karl Rove with write a shiny new lie for the right wing bootlickers to mouth.
Reply:i think wright is wacko maybe he has alot of views that offend me however there are alot black ppl that feel the way he does . obama did the right thing to divorce him i just hope (don't think so) it was in time mentor or not
Reply:It's just a bunch of hype to get you to dislike Obama.
Reply:because it serves the propaganda machine
Reply:Because they want to smear him Guilt by association. It's not working any more though

Why is it that we cannot accept the obvious, politically speaking?

It's obvious that Hillary will eventually go down in the polls. She will stay in first place for a while, but she is not unstoppable. She WILL be second guessed by the democratic party because she is not the shoe-in they thought they had. Obama WILL beat her out eventually. Huckabee WILL be the one to beat on the republican side. Illegal immigration WILL become the main issue, and a republican WILLl not automatically have the edge simply because he is republican. Whoever does not change his ideology on illegal immigration WILL lose the presidential race. Huckabee is a good man and so is Obama. Huckabee is believable but does not tell the whole truth about his politics. Obama states his beliefs up front about illegals. Huckabee talks about secured borders but has a liberal illegal policy in Arkansas. He also advocates for tution breaks for illegals. They both lack when it comes to the issue. He who gets tough wins, Huckabee or Obama.

Why is it that we cannot accept the obvious, politically speaking?
I can't tell if you are seriously trying to predict the future or if you are just expressing a hope to the Interwebs that this will all come to pass as you are prophesying.

There are plenty of historical examples of someone who got the primary lead and stayed in the lead till the end, starting with the clown in office now....
Reply:Don't forget the calming effect of testosterone.
Reply:you are correct that illegal immigration is the big topic, but you are on the wrong side of it. the most restrictive candidate will get the votes.
Reply:Judging from the last seven years, the candidate that creates the most fear and panders to the most "racial insecurities" will be successful.

Edit: unsuccessful changed to successful. I need to censor my spell checker!!
Reply:I disagree with your view on who the front runners will be. Also, While most people do consider protecting the boarders the #1 issue, let's not forget that a large portion of the population are very anti-war. While Obama may be a good man, I personally do not think he can win. Huckabee may also be a good man, and coming up the ranks, but I also do not think he will be the Republican nomination. It's definitely going to be an all out war right to the end on both sides. In the end, America will vote for the lessor of the two Evils. As for me, I just hope it's the one that is FOR a safer America.

Is there a full moon this month? What makes people do this?

I am a HR director and although it is not considered the "norm" I like to speak briefly to potential hires before the final hire. I pick names at random. Almost everyone that has came to my office has tried to relate to me on the basis of my race, my sex, or my physical appearance. A huge NO NO! I had a young lady to tell me that she knew that I was going to "hook a sistah up, because black women had to look out for each other" Her resume was beautiful..she blew it. Today, I interviewed a young man brilliant, top of his class, a shoe in. Interview went well. I was actually starting to put his new hire package together when he was sitting there. I told him that I would personally get in contact with him in the next few days. He went off, he told me that because he was white that he did not fit into a quota. He had the job. Why is it that people think affirmative action is "out to get them?" Be honest, look for my responses in details.

Is there a full moon this month? What makes people do this?
A highly competitive job market can make some aggressive and defensive applicants. Besides, being interviewed is very stressful for obvious reasons, and stress and nerves can bring out the worst in some people. Unfortunately, in your position, you don't get the opportunity to converse with these people when they are relaxed and not trying to aggressively sell themselves, or protect themselves from potential rejection.
Reply:Somene with a big job like yours should know that there is a full moon EVERY month.
Reply:Dear, there is a full moon every month. Time to go back to highschool.
Reply:Well, we are living in a very false society today. We can't tell it the way it is, or possibly hurt someones feelings, yet gang bangers are out there killing people. Are we going the way of Rome??

I hope we don't fall..

Would you consider this offensive????

Our lunch table is very diverse at lunch. We have all sorts of races and it's great. However, last week the hispanic boy that eats with us, Juan, asked me if i had ever been "beaten" and i said no. he then continued to say "so you've never been drug into a dressing room a the mall and beaten with a shoe or a hanger?" and i was like "wtf no." and he said, "well that's just because your a spoiled little white girl."

when i was little my parents spanked me - actually my mom did. my dad - however- never spanked me but he would scream at me and call me "hopeless" and a "dissappointment" and then go days without talking to me. growing up i was in fear of my dad because personally to me that was worse than being spanked.

juan has no idea what he is talking about and i personally think it is offense to lable me with that silly stereotype of "white" kids growing up without getting "beaten" or a "whoopin."

personally, this was offenseive to me. what do you think???

Would you consider this offensive????
I think Juan is trying to get attention.

Best to leave him alone and not try to reward his bad behavior with the attention he wants.

If he becomes civil again that is when you talk to him.
Reply:Yeah its offensive. Tell him you've never had it done but you'd like to find out what its like to do to him.

As for the "white girl" thing. Too many white people are scared to call this racist. If it's not racist....why do so many black people not like being called black?
Reply:Mr Juan needs some help there. Dont pay any attention to him.
Reply:I think it's a more than a little bent. Who goes around asking people if they've ever been dragged into a mall dressing room and beaten. Sounds to me like your friend Juan has some issues to work out - or maybe he was trying to give a subtle confession to what he did over the weekend.

Yes, you should be offended by the question and his statement, but I would also be a bit afraid of the guy.
Reply:This is down right offensive.
Reply:You're right! He's got no judgement. Don't let anyone call you name. Don't talk about your youth to anyone, it'll backfire. Keep that for yourself. As for him, he's recist ! ! ! why don't you report him to your teacher? He's got no right to treat the way he did, don't shy away when such an idiot try to corner you: have the presence of the reply just " a point "! Take care.
Reply:He obviously has some issues with the way he was raised. Most people look back and think they where treated poorly. I am 100x better at parenting than my parents (long story) but now that my kids are teens I can see why they where frustrated with me. When I was a teen I figured they where over reacting or needed to mind there own business because I new what I was doing. As an adult watching my teens it is like watching a blind person step into traffic. You want to help but they refuse to listen.

Juan has some unresolved issues with the way he was raised and feels he was treated poorly. He is a little envious of your upbringing and is attacking you so that he does not have to address the real issue…his anger. You on the other hand only listened to what he was saying and focused on yourself rather than seeing the big picture. Now that you see the big picture maybe your reaction will be different.

It could also be that Juan wants to feels tough, tough thugs where usually beaten and he wants to be a thug. The reality might be he grew up in suburbia and is a spoiled brat too. People tend to project their insecurities onto others and therefore It could be either of these possibilities.

If you where offended get over it. if you plan on talking to people ad being around others you should be willing to take the good with the bad and be a little more thick skinned.

The last thing we need is someone who wants to sue everyone else because they where offended. We already have plenty of those tards already.
Reply:Part of his brain obviously fell out while he was being beaten. I'm sure he didn't mean it how it sounded. People sometimes say things in different ways, if someone asked me 'were you 'beaten' as a child', I would say no (my definition of 'beating' is that this is more of an action of abuse than a spanking). If someone asked 'were you 'smacked' as a child I would say yes. Don't take it to heart, I'm sure he didn't mean to be offensive.
Reply:Hi.

I just wanted to say two things:

1. I don't think it's cool AT ALL that your dad called you hopeless and a disappointment and then gave you the silent treatment growing up.... and I'm sorry that's happened to you.... I hope you have other good people around you that have told you great things about yourself and have helped you to be all you can be!

2. It sounds like Juan might have had some stuff happening for him in his past or currently and while I agree with you that whether or not you have experienced the terrible things he's mentioning or not he shouldn't call you a spoiled little white girl... it just makes me think maybe this is his experience or someone close to him... i hope he has some good people in his corner looking out for him....

I kinda think too that in all different cultures families sometimes don't treat each other well.... and that making it a racial thing is not useful.. violence is wrong whatever culture we are from.
Reply:yes
Reply:he is a stupid kid

it was an offensive thing to say , and i would tell him that if he thinks that way he should " go sit somewhere else "

all the best

Ian
Reply:that's really offensive! and also it doesn't make any sense, he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Reply:Well,it is offensive. I´m Venezuelan, and I´ve studied in multicultural school, and I think that is offensive. The only way it wouldn´t be offensive is if you´ve done the same with him in anyway. For example, I´ve had a afroamerican friend and we use to joke all the time, the same with my anglo friend. And we use to be very offensive to each other, but never got mad. As a matter of fact the 3 of us are still good friends.

But if you thing it was offensive, you shouldn´t leave this happen again, and let him know it bothers you in a good manner (never use violence).

Being beaten is not the right thing nor for whites nor for afros neither any culture!!!
Reply:He was totally joking, if the dialogue was exactly what you just said, i would have laughed in his face.
Reply:Yup, he's really tacky.

I'd avoid him.
Reply:I think Juan is Twat but i would not take this as offensive , why are people so ******* politically correct all the time u cant say sweet **** all now and Ur a racist, just ignore Juan but in the future don't be so sensitive!
Reply:im white and i got the hell beat out of me almost daily with fists not silly lil coat hangers...tell juan that! Im sure he knows exactly what he's talking about -he's just bitter.
Reply:Yes very offensive, I am labled "white" and I had gotten spanked as a child. Race , nationality, color, religion, or sex should not have anything to do with anything from what he is talking to you about. He is trying to offend you , do not stoop to his level. Do not let him get the worst out of you. If he does this again tell a teacher or principle for sure. He is being racist.
Reply:Juan is stupid, so why do you care what Juan thinks about you?
Reply:you no if you wad stop! writing this big long letters i cud ancer .more of yore ???????? you mack my eys hurt.thak you.
Reply:I understand what you mean.

I think you have the right to be offended because after all he has NO IDEA what he is talking about..and you should tell him you have no idea what you've been through and shouldn't come to such quick conclusions.
Reply:Yes, his comment is very offensive. Guess he just wanted you to be sympathetic to him.
Reply:OMG!!! Thats would be so offensive if someone said that to me. First of all, why is he asking such a stupid question. My guess is that he just wanted to get into a fight with "white" people. Second, there's no such thing as "white" people. Or even "black" people. There is European and African American, or just plain African. There also shouldn't be "hispanic" Since thats was made up buy the Mexican people because they didn't want to be called Mexican. Same with latina or latino. Third, most "hispanic" people say that about "white" people because they don't have the stuff that we do.

***for the people who think I am racist, I am not trying to be. If this sounds racist, don't go getting all mad at me. I am just telling the truth***
Reply:yes
