Why does the race card ruffle so many feathers?

Is it because it's tough to relate to shoes you've never walked in? Or maybe I'm wrong and racism doesn't exist anymore.

Why does the race card ruffle so many feathers?
I mean a good 200 years of slavery physical and mental scars. I mean thats no big deal to them, their great grandparents and grandmothers werent affected, they werent faced with all these issues so they see it as not a problem so why bother with it.
Reply:The reason its even called the "race card" is because using your race in that was being abused by so many. Granted, racism does exist, but not as much as the use of the race card implies it to be.
Reply:Because sometimes race is assumed as a reason for something, or you are assumed to be racist because of your race. Some people use the race card to hide behind their real problems.
Reply:I've never had to or ever used it living in Australia, all Australian people are treated equal with the same equal human rights.
Reply:Because it's immoral, manipulative, unfair and hypocritical.
Reply:It is stupid when people use it for everything. Its not like I walk around with a slave. Leave the past where it belongs, in history class!
