For general games you play at a picnic (sack race, tug-o-war, 3-legged race, etc), is it more fun barefoot?

... or with shoes on?





I always see some people (mainly girls) taking off shoes and socks and participating in these activities barefoot at picnics. I was just wondering what the advantage was.

Reply:Well, I go barefoot just 'cause I like it better, and when I still wore footwear it was sneakers or boots I could've done okay in for games... but if you look at many kinds of women's footwear then it should be easy enough to see why women don't wear those for races where you have to be quick and have good grip on the ground! Also even when they're wearing flats, women might be more concerned to get footwear scuffed in a sack race.
