Any knowledgeable Democrats alive at the time wanna give this a go?

.

All the GOP supporters certified that Reagan

ended the Iran hostage crisis, and weak but genteel Carter

deserved no credit for the release. But If Reagan

was not already a shoe-in, magazines like Time and

Newsweek and "whoever" made double **** sure that

Ronald Reagan got elected.

Because if enough family,

friends, or co-workers convinced you at the time that

the press was brainwashing you, you either ended up\

not voting, or voting for that little party that gets 2.3%

of the vote. Instead of watching Dan "Rather Bias",

who you might like, you just got tired of your father

and your brother having a field day with Carter.

You were bound to be cast out, and opt out

of services on Sunday because the coat and tie

were not comfortable. The point is, you wear

the coat and tie, to prove you belong. To me, at least,

that election proved that the predicted losers in that

race were less like Pavlov's dogs, and instead were

non-Machavellian Freud haters.

Any knowledgeable Democrats alive at the time wanna give this a go?
I voted twice for Carter and have no regrets. Reagan was a disaster. A lot of his inner circle went to prison, caught up in illegally sellling weapons to Iran, while supporting Iraq.

When I think of Reagan, I remember an affable, clownish retired movie actor who did not understand much but projected a good image. I remember death squads supervised by John Negroponte, defended by Elliot Abrams, carried out by right wing operatives all through Central America from Nicuagura to Guatimala, El Salvador to Honduras. I remember right wing dictators we supported too. No, I am proud not to have ever voted for Reagan. I could see through the hype.
Reply:I do remember Carter heading up negotiations with Iran for the release of the hostages and I also remember Carter getting much flack for being a peanut farmer, peanut farmer that's all you heard. That was before i got into politics though.

I also remember Col. Oliver North on trial for the arms deals he made and later got off so easy. I watched some of it which seemed like went on for months and I remember thinking he was supposed to be one of the good guys protecting us and he was supplying the enemy with weapons. Of course it all turned out that he was just the fallguy.
Reply:So, where/what is the question?
Reply:I voted for Carter, unfortunately, he never got credit for the good things he did. If ever there was a figurehead for a president in the US (besides the present one) it was definitely Reagan. Nancy ran the show most of the time, especially the last 2 yrs when he was already starting with the Alzheimer's.
Reply:Uh.......ok.

Maybe when all that caffeine wears off, we can discuss Bill Richardson.
Reply:I don't see a question in your guestion.

If your wondering if the game is already predicted, yes it is.

If your wondering if the media/publishing business is rigged yes it is.

If you wondering if propaganda is spoon fed to us to tell us what to think, the answer is yes to that too.

Jimmy Carter was the Peace President and did more for this world than any other president and no, he didn't get the credit he deserves nor did the only decent Isreal leader deserve to get killed. Real peace was possible with these men in office, there are groups who want war and have for years. War makes them money!!!!!!!! and most men are very greedy.
Reply:Good luck finding them.
