If your horse is pulling his own shoes off, you need to tell your farrier. It sounds like your horse is over reaching. This can be pretty dangerous for your horse and you.

I could tell you about a couple of bad wreaks that have happened in speed events do to this problem. No bell boot will fix this type of problem. It's a corrective shoeing issue.

Bell boots will help your horse from injuring the heel of his hoof though.

As far as which brand to use, it just depends on how much your willing to spend.

Reply:i use combo boots, i guess you could use bell boots with them if you need to.
Reply:professionals choice are pretty good
Reply:If your horse is slipping and ripping his shoes off you definatly need to use boots. I use both Classic Equine and Professionals Choice boots and then I use Professionals Choice bell boots.
Reply:Proffessionals choice are pretty good, but i really like the pegasus boots.
