I run cross country and my coach has already adivsed me that my shoes are crap. Does anyone know any websites where I can get cross country training shoes for practice and cross country flats for races?
Cross Country Shoes?
Try to find the area running store. Ask your coach for a recommendation.
They generally know a lot more about running and running shoes then people at a generic store. Also, a vast majority offer discounts to kids on high school teams. When you go, bring your old running shoes with you. The wear on them may help the store fit you with the best shoe for the way you run.
Good luck.
Reply:go to www.euor sport.com
Reply:i prefer saucony and etonic brand running shoes, but its like they have died out now..
most importantly, must feel comfortable and fit.
good luck..
Reply:You can usually do a google search on a specific pair of shoe and lots of websites will come up. I'm not sure if where u live has these stores but i go to, medved,*****,kholes,j
cpenny, really any of those stores will work. If u need a recommendation on a type of shoe for practices, you should asics. They have special arch advantages in the shoe that makes it easier on your foot to run and it helps prevent pain. They're especially good for running up hills which usually you have to do allot in cross country. They cost anywhere from $60-150. For a race you should get spikes. This also helps really good for both hills and flat ground because it digs into the ground so you don't slip and/or ever fall. They're also good on your feet. These cost usually around $100-200. Hope this helps
Reply:You should go to a running specific store, but if there isn't one near you, visit www.roadrunnersports.com and you can select a shoe according to your foot type. They usually have most of the shoes on the site at a sports authority or a dick's sporting goods store so if you'd like to try a pair on, you may want to go there. Good luck with your search :)
Reply:the same thing happened to my sister. she just went to a shoe store and asked one of the workers there to assist her in finding a great pair of sneakers. good luck!!
Reply:break out in bare feet to say are these better
Reply:Try www.brooksrunning.com or www.dickpondathletics.com or www.superrunnersshop.com
Reply:it would be better if you went to a local store, try to stay away from major stores like ***** and sports authority, they can fit you and see how you walk/run in them
